Sometimes I've noticed that if I kick JAWS out of memmory then load it back in again at the point where it would go silent when you would click on the entity, after reloading you can click on the entity and it may stay in a speaking state. So, if you were sitting at the browse button, kick JAWS out of memmory, reload, then press the browse button and it might stay in a speaking state. This doesn't fix the problem but you can kind of cheat the problem that way.
