I haven't seen a dealer yet that can train people on how to use Jaws. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jerry Richer Sent: Thursday, January 01, 2004 4:54 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: JAWS, authorization & free markets I believe that a lot of the cost of JAWS and most other adaptive technology is a consequence of the developers belief that people have to be trained how to use it. Most of the software I sell has no restrictions. I can sell to whoever I want, when I want, wherever I want. But with most adaptive technology there are all kinds of restrictions and an elaborate distribution structure in place. It's all ostensibly because the manufacturer wants to insure that the end user has a dealer nearby who can show them how to use it.
