I haven't yet read any responses to this post that may be in my Inbox., but
I just want to chime in and say that I'm having the same, mystifying problem
myself.

With Jaws 4.51 and both Windows 98 S E as well as Windows 2000,if I opened
the New submenu under the Files menu in Windows Explorer, I got all the
options, which I could arrow up and down among normally, including not just
New Folder but new text file, too.

Now, under Win XP Home with Jaws 6.0, the same thing is happening as
described below. I'm never before had such a problem. What's up with this?
It's pretty exasperating.

Subject: JAWS and windows explore

Hi All:
Having a problem. Using JAWS 6.1 and XP Home. When I access "new submenue"
under "file" I can right arrow to folder and it will speak that. It won't
speak anything under that except with the JAWS cursor. Help would be
appreciated.

Joan
