JAWS and Verizon internet

Hello listers,
I recently changed internet providers from Comcast to Verizon. I had no problem
with Comcast, but I have one with Verizon and wonder if anyone else has had
(and solved) the problem.
I leave my computer on 24/7. After 48 hours, my computer starts going crazy. It
starts making dinging sounds and there is a lot of static. This happens
regardless of whether or not I am using any of the keys. I contacted Verizon
and they had no idea what was happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
