Yes, it's the most fantastic version of IE I've ever come across. I in fact use IE8 beta 2 as my default browser and only use Firefox for sites that require a captcha. Well that's my plan anyway. Looking forward to the final release now.

I am happy to report that JAWS works withthe eagerly awaited, recently released public Beta 2 test version ofInternet Explorer 8, which is touted by Microsoft to be better, faster, and more secure than IE 7. Initial reviews have been mostly favorable, and so far, I have not encountered any major problems with it myself using JAWS 8, 9 or 10, except for the read Address Bar command (Insert + A) which does notwork, probably because the Address Bar has been modified in IE8. Iespecially like the new private browsing feature, which should make browsing a little safer. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, clickon the link below to learn more, and be sure to listen to the video whichdemonstrates IE8's new features before you download it. Keep in mind thatIE8 runs under Win XP or Vista, and installing it will replace your currently installed version of IE, although your settings, home page, browsing history, favorites, and feeds will all be imported during the set-up process. Happy surfing! http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/-- Christopher Bartlett An FYI, according to CNet's "Buzz Out Loud podcast, if you have Service Pack 3 and install the latest Beta, the installations of IE8 and SP3 become irreversible, that is you won't be able to roll back to IE7 or SP2. There is a warning to this effect during the installation process. -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.comJFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfwIf you have any concerns about the list, post received from the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them to the list.
