Sorry I'm late on this thread- had to check it out thoroughly. Yes, I
still get double messages unless I close and re-open OE. I'm on hotmail
for that account and have thought it was somehow related to that, so is
your account in question a web-based transfer into OE?

Hi Jane, Again the behavior is inconsistent. For example, with the In
Box,
I generally get notice of the number of messages being downloaded and
the
status line is correct most of the time. Conversely the number of
messages
reported in the Bulk Mail folder is often incorrect.
From a cold start after downloading messages, JAWS will show, for
example,
that there are 40 messages when there are actually only 20 and it reads
each
message twice. If I then close O E and open it again, it will then
correctly show the actual 20 messages.
Like you, it does not say bottom of window.
And to be clear, these issues were never present with 7.0 and 7.1 and I
have
made no changes to my system that I am aware of over the transition.
Mitch

I have not had your particular problem with e-mail in Outlook express,
but
what I do note since JAWS 8.0 and 8.1 is that JAWS does not read bottom
of
window at end of e-mail list. Likewise, JAWS does no longer read the
number
of messages. Do you note this also?
