The real bad problem, I have with live messenger V9 and the latest build of
jaws 10, is the darn history window. I couldn't begin to tell you why, but for
some very bezarre reason, if I hit control+shift+H, or for that mind, F6, to
move focus to it whilst in a conversation window, i can use the PC cursor and
up and down arrow just fine through the history, and I even can use control
left and right arrow, or insert num pad 5 and 6 or in the case of a laptop,
capslock j and l, to move word by word, however the minute I try left or right
arrowing to go character by character, my focus is lost, and I am immediately
thrown back in the input edit field. This is extremely! annoying for me, as I
have turned off automatically playing voice clips. I don't mind sending them,
nor receiving them, however there is one individual who's name I will not
mention and basically, in a nutshell, he/she one day thought it would be real
funny to sit here and turn his/her laptop onboard mike all the way up, and then
turn 20db mike gain on, and scream as loud as he/she could. Needless to say:
um: ow? That was incredibly painful, thank ya very much? So, ever since,
being they insisted to not quit, I turned off voice clips. So, what I have to
do, getting back to my history issue, is, I have to take the pc cursor, go to
the history, put my pc cursor on the letter l in the word play/stop. Then,
left click it. Yeah, I know I could just do that with the jaws cursor, but
sometimes it's just easier to go to the history. Another real annoying thing
is hitting the accent grave key. Sometimes it will read the last IM correctly,
but, half of the time, it reads an IM several messages up the screen. Alt+1
seems to also do the same thing. So, yeah. I like the new live messenger 9,
but there are just enough things to really kind of annoy me.

Chris.
