The reason it won't work is because you don't have any control of the dialog
through scripts while you have the link lists dialog active.

I'm not sure you can tell JFW, for example, always to sort in
alphabetical order; however, you could probably write a simple script,
e.g.,
Alt plus shift plus F-7
Presses JAWS plus F-7
Turns off speech
Tabs over to the combo box
Selects alphabetical
Turns on Speech
And returns control to you.
I don't see why this wouldn't work.
