Hi Jim,
Return to Config Manager,
open Set Options menu,
select Keyboard Options, press shift tab to go the General tab,
press right arrow to go to Key Labels,
tab to first item listed,
press so key repeatedly until you locate the Key Name space,
tab to Toggle Mute button,
hit Enter to change mute to speak,
tab again to Change Label button,
now type the word space,
hit Enter to finish typing,
hit Enter for OK,
back to Config Manager main window,
go to file, save as,
hit Enter to save as DEFAULT,
press y key for Yes,
wait for processing,
Press Alt F4 to close Config Manager.
That's all. From now on, pressing space bar will echo the word space. You
may want to close Jaws and restart it again.
Adam

Subject: I want my space bar to say the word space when i hit it.

Hi list, I know there is a simple solution to this, but somehow I'm missing
it. I am using windows XP pro and jaws 5.10.383. I went to keyboard manager,
and thought I unmuted the space bar, but not sure if I did something wrong,
because it still doesn't say space. How to fix please.
thanks,
Jim, and I am not sure if I like up pro yet.
Grin.
