If you start openbook, then get into the jaws configuration manager with
insert plus the number 6 on the top row of your keyboard, this should open
the configuration file for open book. then go to the set options menu. Arrow
down to Advanced options and hit enter the first checkbox says something
like enable sleep mode check this box, then close the configuration manager
with alt plus F4. then answer yes to the save changes prompt. this will do
