How to Get JFW to say full words instead of spelling parts of them

OK, I know you all are probably wondering, what is he talking about?
Here's the question. I have a client running Windows XP and JAWS 7.1.
His JAWS sometimes doesn't pronounce full words like my 7.1 installation
does. For example, my 7.1 installation says "don't" while his says "don
' t". Any reason why this would be happening and how I can guide him to
fix it?

Thanks,
