Hello Troy,Play Chess, the game of Kings, the "Martial Arts of the Mind" or the Gymnastics of the Brain" or just have fun, take the game to whatever level you wish.
There are many Computer Chess Programs designed specifically to be used by screen reading software.
I should know, my name is Alan Dicey, and I am the President of the United States Braille Chess Association.
We are a group of about 60 members, nationwide, and we play Chess!!The sport that a Blind person can play on just about the most level playing field with a sighted person that I can possibly think of!!!
The word Braille in the name of our group is a bit misleading, very few or hardly any of us use Braille to play our games, the word is a holdover from when Blind Chess Enthusiast used to send their moves back and forth through the Postal Service, or now known as snail mail in Braille. This was before the computer was made a common item for people to have in their homes. Now, most games are played by sending moves back and forth via email, or we use Voice Chat to play games.
To learn more about the Computer Chess Programs that are 100 percent Speech friendly, even designed specifically to be so,

Hello All,I'm looking for some games, either adventure games along the line of the oldInfocom games or even some sports games that are Jaws friendly. I knowabout Jim Kitchen's site and I've played his football and baseball games inthe past and really didn't care for them that much, not enough variety in what I could do especially in the football game. They don't have to be free games although that would be nice, and although I'm not opposed to games where I go online and play with others I'm really just looking for something I can play against the computer.I know some of you may have seen me ask this question on the BlindTech listrecently but I just thought that since this is a Jaws specific list that I might get more help here.
