Doug,

The instructions are for sighted users or others who do not use jaws. In
jaws, we have a selection mechanism for this. Just hold down the controll
key and when a desired item is highlighted, press the space bar while still
holding down the ctrl key and then continue down the list while holding down
the controll key till you reach your next desired item and press the space
bar. This may not work for you but is what freedom says to do.

Subject: Handling multiple selection list boxes in Internet Explorer?

Hello list, I am presently using JAWS 4.5 and Internet Explorer 6.0. I have
to use a university database which requires the use of multiple selection
list boxes. These boxes allow you to select items out of sequence by
holding down the control key and clicking the mouse on the item you want to
select. In forms mode I have tried setting the jaws cursor to follow the PC
cursor by pressing <insert+control+keypad-dash> while holding down the
control key and moving the up and down arrow keys and pressing the left
mouse button key. This does not select the items I need. The questions I
have are: What way do people currently handle these types of list boxes?
Are these boxes handled any better under JAWS 5.0? I certainly hope I don't
have to pay the major funds to upgrade to 5.0 just to use a database.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Doug
