There are keiboard methods that are much more efficient to do the things 
described below.

Hi,  I'm probably one of those people you'd classify as magical technology -
I try everything but never know how it works.
I suppose it's frustration when something seems non-responsive, but that's
when I just click the mouse as a last resort.
I imagine someone's now thinking it's a usely prospect; but one thing that
happened was letting me move the toolbar to the accessible location I wanted
and put the items on he toolbar I wanted, such as kurzweil, word-perfect,
and outlook.
Don't know if this is what you meant, but it works for me. - kat

Sure,
Some times, when jaws goes silent, I can click the mouse to fix it.
