the ideal thing here is if the attachment is a Word document. Otherwise, you want to bring it into Word if possible. Now use word find, Ctrl-f, and hit ctrl-b to search for bold text. You probably don't want to type any text anto the Find What dialog, since you're looking for bold text. Hit enter, then escape, and you'll be on the first occurrence of bold text.
