I've actually been in contact with an employee of Arise. She is sighted
though. She knows nothing about JAWS or scripts. She has been the one
encouraging me to apply.
So, based on what I've been told and what I've seen, this company is not a
scam.
Believe me, if I weren't in contact with this person, I would never have
applied for this job.

Hello,
I think this company is based in Florida or so the address on their web
page indicates such. Furthermore one has to be careful about these work from
home jobs. Many have turned out to be scams or do not deliver what they
advertise.

While I don't have an answer to your question, I wanted to just say
that I find this very strange. Not too long ago, there was an article I read in
the newspaper about this company. They are based in Arizona, and the article
said that they cater to disabled workers. The man in the article was blind, and
he worked for this company. I don't understand why you received that response.

I don't think this is the right venue for my question/request but I'm
going to post the question anyway in the hopes that someone can point me in the

I have been looking for a job and came across this company called
Arise (Arise.com), a home-based customer service type company. I haven't even
finished the admissions process and they have already dismissed me. The
response I got was as follows:
