Hello.

I am being prompted to update my primary Windows XP Professional work
computer to IE7, using JFW Ver. 8. (I am about to upgrade to JFW 9,
but have not done this.) But I've noticed, when looking at other
machines that have IE7 installed, that the CTRL+F find function
operates differently.

In IE6, I often use this FIND feature, particularly if I'm looking for
a specific block of text or link that I know is on a page which I
visit frequently. I just type what I want into the FIND field, press
ENTER, and my Virtual PC Cursor just goes there instantly. But I type
CTRL+f in IE7 and am immediately taken to a search box containing
several fields. I must enter Forms mode. And when I type my chosen
text string and tab over to the NEXT button, I'm still in the search
box afterward. And after I hit ESCAPE to go back to the page, my
Virtual PC Cursor has not moved to what I'd been looking for. So it
looks as though things should work in IE7 just as they always did in a
Microsoft Office app with the Find/Replace function. But for me it
doesn't work.

What am I missing? I want to make sure I understand JFW-related
quirks so I can operate efficiently in this program before I upgrade
to it.

Thanks.

-Kane
