I prefer pleading with FS for more activations. Write out a 5,000-word sob
story on how your worthless dog ate the activations, how you haven't slept a
wink without activation and how you wake every morning hoping for a miracle
with your activation count.

Daniel,
Not boring at all. It's actually good that it can be done without an
Internet connection. Good description.
Now if you can come up with a way to increase your activation count from
zero back to 2 or 3 without needing to actually contact Freedom Scientific,
then you have found the Holy Grail.
Hopefully you won't run into that snag, and I wish upon you the blessings
that your one remaining activation never be consumed.

Dear list members, earlyer this evening UK time, I asked a question about
how to actavate Jaws on my laptop which currently has no internet connection.
Well basicly that's all been taken care of now.
I don't really know how I did it but I did! LOL
I will try to explain.
1. Went to www. fsactivate.com
2. continue hitting the letter B to hear the button called "continue
Product Activation button"
3. Went to the link and hit enter on it which is called Retrieve an
Activation License code based on your Authorization number and Locking code
4. Inserted my Authorization CD copyed the numbers/letters to the
clipboard and hit enter on OK button.
5. Went to the edit boxwhere it asks you for it and pasted it in there.
Now hear is where I got stuck.
Regarding the "Locking Code" of the computer, I didn't know weather I was
to paste my desktop one or my laptop one. But hear is a tip for thoughs who are
new to this process like me basicly to some it might seem obvious but for
thoughs like me who wasn't sure what you need to do hear is get the locking
code for your computer that you are "going to activate" In my case my laptop's
"locking Code"
6. Typed mmy laptop's Locking code in. (not my desktop one)
7. Entered on "Submit Licence Request button"
8. On the next page I got the code, copyed it to the clip board, opened a
new word document and saved it onto a memory stick.
9. Went to the laptop basicly went to the "update Authorization in Jaws
12, followed the promps, but when you get theradio buttons, I went to activate
genarated licence from FS Activate.com something like that.
10. Typed in the code and Bang!!!
11. Got a screen that said Congratulations! Your FS Product is activated
well you get the idea!
12. And that was it!
I'm sorry if this is a boaring email to some people but I wanted to share
my thoughts and experiences on how I went about it. It was my 1st time with out
an internet connection with a computer I wanted to activated with Jaws and
personally I feel quite proud of myself having not gone through it or really
understood how the "activation process" really worked.
Oh, and a note to people if your going to do it this way then I strongly
recommend that you keep this word file with the key somewhere safe on your
computer! You never know when you might need it!
