If you are trying to change order the files are listed in a folder you need
to go to the view menu (alt+v) and then the arrange icons menu (I).

Jim, use control plus x to cut the selected text this will move the selected
text instead of just making a copy and leaving the original text where it
was. hope this is what you were looking for.

Hi Listers, back to basics, I'm attempting to cut a Word document from
within a folder list view in Windows Explorer and paste it at the top of
the folder list. First I select the doc with control C , then arrow-up to
the top of the folder list view, then press home just to be on the safe side
I do control V, JFW announces pasted text from clipboard. But what has
happened a copy of the first document appears at the bottom of the list
view. Help on this fundamental skill will be much appreciated! I'm using
Jaws 6.1 with win XP home.
