actually you need to realize you have a double fold question here first.
first removing pop ups from web sites.
a pop up blocker like several recommended already will do the job.
always best to check www.jfwlite.com for speechf friendly apts that are free.
secondly removing traces of the applications you already installed.
these pop ups are differant than one on remote web sites, so get some
software designed to remove
spy and add software, like add aware or spy bot.
the kind you have that pop up are usually tied in with active x controls.
i personally use pest patrol because it tied in a recent review for being
the best back ground spy software with add aware.
add aware free version is o k but configuring it to do certain things i
find the pro verson is not very speech friendly.
so pest patrol gets my nod among paid programs.
and as far as free programs goes only spy bot offers free back ground
scanning.
realize the former 2 back ground scanning was rated excellent versus very
good for spy bot.
spy bot is the best of the freebies.
