Jed. Does this happen when another browser window is open or when Outlook Express is running or just when IE is running alone in one window?

Try Jawskey+backslash to refresh the screen. Also try f5 or control+f5 to refresh IE.

I wonder why it happens only on one machine.

I'm only having the issue on 1 computer, > I'll load explorer and be right in the middle of a web sight, pretty
deep in to it.
I'll hit the back button to go back a page, and it just sits there, like
I'm on the current page.
I'll even hit al home, ya know to go back to the default home page?
