Hi,

I love that site, have used it in the past. For some reason thought it has been discontinued. The last time I tried it, a few years ago, wasn't up and running. Will try it again the next time I need and adobe doc. Thanks.

Hi, Alan,
I recently sent two pdf documents to
pdf2text@xxxxxxxxx
Within a few minutes, they both showed up in my inbox converted into text. I could then read them easily on the computer, load them on the stream or Braille note and read them. It worked great.

Hello Friends,
I am using XP-Home, JAWS 9.0156 and wonder what version of Adobe Reader I
can use with my version of JAWS.

I am currently using Adobe Reader 7.0 to open PDF Files with, but the
results are not always very good, and sometime the end product of the
conversion is not at all useful!

Can you please tell me what is the highest version of Adobe Reader that
will work with my version of JAWS?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

With Best Regards,
Alan

I usually ask them to send the files in either Word or Text format, but am
hoping to ultimately find a way to do that myself, and save them the
trouble.

It's not that people haven't been co-operative, but I just like avoiding
extra steps, if at all possible.

Tom,
Can't you ask the sender to send in a more accessible manner I think
people
in the Uk do at times, I have like you K1000 and ttip mine into it, but I
do
think that if you have Microsoft Document Imaging in your version of
the
Office suite that you can do the same thing, I have seen people say so
over
here in Uk Kind regards Dorothy Ps the postal strike here has held up
delivery of K12

I am having the same problem too, especially with PDF files at work.

And, does anyone know how best to deal with PDF files that are scanned
image
files?

I have K1000 here at home, but not at work, so a non K1000 solution would
be
helpful.

The folks at work are very helpful, and try converting the PDF's to Word
or
text documents, but that is a real pain at times.

 Hi All.

Recently I am having difficulties reading PDF documents.

I am using Acrobat Reading 9, but after following the instructions for
the
document to be made readable, I find I can only read the first few lines.

I am using Jaws 10 and Windows Vista.

Can anyone please help, or put me in touch with a group that can?

 Thanks.

 Ron
