Jim,

you mean if you're running Avast! then each time you want to access its 
interface to set something or initiate a procedure, you have to exit Jaws, 
then possibly use a hotkey to launch the interface, then launch jaws, and 
then Jaws will enable you to navigate and use its menus and stuff? That 
sounds like a big hassle, but I suppose if Avast! is supposed to run without 
needing your attention for a year at a time, I guess once you get it set up 
and underway, you probably don't have to mess with it very much anyway.

If you know your screen reader it is not a problem  you do need to load the
user interface without jaws running but after that once again not a problem.

Have you yourself installed Version 8 Free Edition? Everyone says it's so
screen reader-unfriendly that they're all switching to Avast! What is your
own experience at this point?
