There is absolutely no possibility of support for XP ending any time soon. The ffact is that over 60% of Windows-based PC's still use XP, and barely 30% use Vista, which is now widely regarded as the Microsoft equivalent of the Edsel. In view of the current economic crisis, it is unlikely that businesses are going to scrap their dependable XP machines in favor of Windows 7, preliminary reviews of which have been lukewarm at best. After the Vista debacle, companies will think twice about embracing Windows 7, which appears to be nothing more than a souped-up version of Vista. XP-equipped machines are such a hot commodity that some companies like Dell are selling them at a premium. So reports of XP's imminent demise are greatly exaggerated, and you can rest assured that millions of people will continue to use it for years to come. I tried to download the MP3 file of the Pod cast, but, for some unknown reason, couldn't get the job done. I understand its for the 64-bit version of VISTA, but, I am wondering if it is being prepared for the WINDOWS7 operating system that Microsoft is supposedly releasing soon. Of course, that latter is rather rhetorical. Who really knows? My reasoning behind all of this is that I suspect XP will probably soon suffer the same slow and agonizing death of Windows98 SE and VISTA's demise may be as quick as that of WindowsME. Take care,
