Hello Darragh, I believe it is more that jAWS does not see the keystrokes from Synergy. So key interrupt, including the CTRL key isn't going to work, which makes JAWS chatty. And it makes so JAWS specific commands do not work. I tried to capture keystrokes sent by Synergy with the Script Manager's assign hotkey field and this failed. I have not set up JAWS key handling events to see if any codes are detected by that yet but I am not optimistic. -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Darragh Ó Héiligh Sent: Thursday, May 23, 2013 4:39 AM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Synergy Hello Travis, I've played around with this application and I've encountered the same problems. It's a pity because a lot of people in work use it and I definitely see the benefit. It would cut down on using expensive KVM's. The most irritating thing is the control key doesn't work to scielence speech. If your working on this let me know. Maybe two people asking the developers why Jaws keystrokes aren't passed through might be more effective than just one person asking. I mailed them a few years ago about this. (Theoretically you can configure it with configuration files though on Windows I don't know where they are hiding. ) However that is not my focus. After it is configured Synergy can send keystrokes to any PC that you have configured it to when you focus on it with the mouse. In testing this I notice JAWS does not seem to be recognizing or receiving the keystrokes on the "client' machine. Things work ok such as navigating, as the focus moves so JAWS tracks that. But JAWS commands don’t' seem to be handled. Has anyone experimented with this and have any ideas? Thanks.
