Is the JAB simply always enabled now? I have a completely up-to-date
win8.1 and when I go to ease of access center the "Use computer
without a display" item is no longer present. (Actually, lots of stuff
that used to be in the ease of access center is no longer there.)

Hi,
As I understand it, the access bridge is now included with the latest
versions of java. I believe you can enable it under ease of access.

Have you added the Access Bridge client? You can Google it or go to

Subject: [jawsscripts] JAWS Accessibility with Java AWT Applications

Hi folks,

I'm very new to JAWS scripting and have recently come across a
completely

inaccessible application I need to use in work.

It's a java based app however JAWS is reading nothing on screen when
the
application window is in focus. In addition, using the JAWS and
Invisible

cursor reads no on-screen elements apart from the title of the window.

Using script utility mode to explore the application further I found
the
class type to be 'SunAwtDialog' so I'm guessing the application is an
AWT

based java app.
I haven't been able to find anything useful with regards to JAWS and
AWT
online but I do know that AWT is a GUI library used in Java for
displaying

UI elements like textboxes, buttons etc.

I'm just wondering if anyone on the list has come across applications
like

this in the past and if it's possible to script them with JAWS?

Would appreciate any help on this.

Thanks,
Donnacha.
