That's because of the system ram being used. This is an unnoticeable change
on a system with sufficient ram.

Hi Geoff,
Because this has been demonstrated to me twice on 2 different systems.
In both situations, there was a marked decrease of performance when using
the onboard adapter compared to using a PCI or PCI-E card.
