Hi,

By a strange and not necessarily useful co-incidence, the Fixed Features
list of JAWS 7.1 includes mention of a problem present in earlier
versions of JAWS which causes it to use 100% of the CPU resource when
browsing certain websites under certain conditions. It doesn't say what
the conditions are.

Regards,

Tim Pennick

Hi

The symptoms you are describing could be the effect of cascading style
sheets, you could try the following...
before hitting the site, change the style sheet processing option in the
jaws verbosity setting for IE to 'ignore all' and then enter the site.

Of course, it could be something completely different...

Luck
Karl

Hi,

I have this problem on some sites also - the whole machine goes
extremely sluggish. I have a variable fan in my machine and when I
start moving through the page the fan gets quite loud as the processor
activity of JFW increases.

It seems to be only on specific sites.

Thanks.
Andrew.

HI all,

Just now I have tried to get onto the Sony Website but each time I try
to do this, JAWS will fall silent and when it does speak, this is only
for a few seconds before going silent again.

I did have a similar problem recently and although someone did respond,
I think I have deleted the E-mail so could someone please tell me what
to do about this problem I seem to be having when visiting some sites.

I am using JAWS version 5 and windows ME.

Thanks for your help.

Paul.
