Try contacting your ISP before blaming your computer, they may be working on your local server. Had a simular problem a few months ago, had to be very careful what words I typed in a message or I would be whisked off to another website, this was caused by the ISP updating the local server. If this is not the cause I hope the experts on the list can help you

Hi Folks,

I don't think this is directly a JAWS problem but I would be grateful if any
techy's out there might have an answer.

Sometimes, not always, when I have pressed Alt+D on the Internet to go to a
new web address, the following happens.

I start to type www (making sure I only press the w key three times and not
holding my finger on that key) JAWS announces about 6 or 7 w's and presto,
my computer switches off and restarts again. this has happened about 5
times in the last 4 days.

I've got JAWS 8 and I/E 7.

Any ideas techy's?

Jim Williams
