[jaws-uk] Re: Print view and word

Hi all,
I initially installed Office XP, but ended up going back to Office 2000
which is much more friendly.  One of the things which I used a lot was
'Comments'.  These are hopeless for a unsighted users in XP.  You can take
comfort in the fact that my university adopted Office 2000 as its standard
as it thought it more suitable for the average user than any of the later
sophistications.

  George, I have the same problem.  In tools, options and the general tab.
I don't have the option you mention.  I am using X P.

    The most illogical place.

    Tools, Options, but NOT the View tab where you would expect, but the
General Tab.

    Note the check box labelled, "Allow starting in reading layout" -
uncheck it.

    Word keeps reverting to print view when I open a document, even though I
save that doc in normal view.

    So long since I doctored word, can't remember how to stop this?
