[jaws-uk] Re: Print view and word

Hi all,
This gets curiouser and curiouser!  I have some files, all from the same
source, some of which I've managed to convert permanently to normal view and
some of which steadfastly refuse to reappear in anything other than print
view.  Saving the file after you've made the change doesn't make any
difference either.  I use a braille display, so, having lines of text
starting somewhere around cell 27, drives me up the wall.

What are we overlooking?

Hi,
Alt V then N for normal, or W for web layout, or P for print layout, or O
for outline. Whichever you use then close down, word will open up in that
one in 2000.

Hi, I'm using word 2000 but can't find this option in tools, options,
general.  I have tried the word help for the first time and it seems totally
unaccessible...  Anyone got any clues?

  The most illogical place.

  Tools, Options, but NOT the View tab where you would expect, but the
General Tab.

  Note the check box labelled, "Allow starting in reading layout" - uncheck
it.

  Word keeps reverting to print view when I open a document, even though I
save that doc in normal view.

  So long since I doctored word, can't remember how to stop this?
