Hello Katharine
I have no speech at all. pressing insert and numpad 5 is silent. This is
when word and access have merged. The menus in access alone will not
read at all. .

So JAWS stopped reading the menus automatically right? What happens if you
do ins up arrow to read current line, while you are in a menu?
