And just to add to what Phil said, go to tools/options/hotkeys in Skype and enable keyboard shortcuts. If you tap once after that you'll get a list of the keyboard shortcuts and what they do. You can change the hotkeys from there too if you wish.

Hi Robin,

You will need to download and install the latest version of Skype which is
3.8.  You can get it from the following link:
http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/

After installing Skype I suggest that you download and install Doug Lee's
Skype scripts for Jaws from:
http://users.visi.com/~dgl/skype/

You need revision 653 of the scripts.

Once you have these scripts installed, you can press JawsKey+h to hear the
most important keystrokes.

There are a number of settings which will help to keep you from being
bothered by strange people out there on the internet and improve your
experience of Skype itself but these are probably better dealt with at a
later date.
You will need to check that your microphone works correctly which you can do 
by typing "echo123" without the quotes in to the address line of Skype and
pressing the enter key to make a call to an automated service which will
allow you to speak for ten seconds, after which your message will be played back to you, giving you the chance to check that others will be able to hear 
you when you call them.
When you need further help with the settings, come back to the list or mail

Hello to all on this list, I was wondering if some people could help me with 
something.  I know that this topic has been discussed over and over before
but at the time I did not have it on my computer so the information was not 
useful to me at the time of the discussion.  Now I have decided to have
Skype on my computer and I was wondering what short cut keys are available
for using JAWS with Skype. I thought that there was something about scripts 
whether if you had to create scripts for skype to work with JAWS but I am
not sure so I think that it would be interesting to try out but before I do 
this I would appreciate knowing some short cut keys for JAWS so I can use
the program.  I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my computer along with
the last update for JAWS in version 9.  So any help would be very
appreciated.
