Hi John
When I go to the Controm Panel, the only sound option I have is Sounds and
Audio Devices. When I Enter on this there are five Tabs: Volume, Sounds,
Audio, Voice and Hardware, none of these have the box you described.

Hello Barbara. Go into Control Panel and then arrow down to sound Effects
Manager and Enter on it. You should find a box headed enviroment. arrow up
until it reads none. This should put the speech back to normal.
