I am not using the laptop today the plug in should arrive soon as had to pay fast with Direct debit..Re files on the laptop are folders in Outlook Express and they are called DBX files. why is this? They aare folders and subfolders but were all empty which was a bitof a shock but have all saved elsewhere.
Now this is another File question. Which type of File is something that sounds like TTS then cxo I think Have the lest bit wrong sounds like oxo on the end.. Is it really an attachment anyway? Re other matters on here this main desktop the drafts folder keeps saying it is shut. I amused to this in the list of eight and use right arrow. I do the same in the 30 subfolders but not until recently have I been asked to right arrow to open that one before now..Those are enough questions for now anyway. Thanks for your help. Dorothy Ps am still puzzled about vertical bars? Why are they there? Oh my goodness another one. It is this I used to get from very good friend in the States little cheerups a sort of family circus. some them would come in with Words and Music. You know jolly jingles.for instance one called in the Beginning had Jaws reading the words and a musical background in this case was a tune called Havanah Gila. so you had Jaws doing a valiant job reading the text and the music half swamping him.Don't worry nothing swamped him for long. Now for some reason the emails are still thee inky documents but the music has gone. Is this due to a switch from a former computer to this one last.. Is it the Windows Music centre that

plays it or played or was it sort routed out to the internet..

should read family circle.
