Hi Brian,

FreedomScientific just released a new bill of Jaws 11, which is 11.0.756.
This new bill was released to take care of the problem with having to
randomly reactivate JAWS which was present in some computers running Windows
7. In view of the fact that I was one of those people affected by this bug,
I was asked by FS to upgrade my Jaws 11 to this new bill. I wonder if
J-Tools will keep on functioning with this new bill or I must wait until you
update it.

The afformentioned problem was very serious in my case because each time I
rebooted my computer Jaws asked me to reactivate my copy.

I will greatly appreciated your help in this regards.

Hi

I am not quite sure I understand your first question. You would not be able
to use the update facility because you are updating from one jaws version to
another so you need to download the correct build for your jaws version.

You would use the import and export functions off the help menu for
transfer, but after I wrote your last message, it did occur to me that you
may want to take the files from your jaws 10 settings folder entitled
Internet explorer.ini
And
Internet explorer 2.ini
And copy those into jaws 11. That should at least get your bookmarks up and
running.

Hi Brian,

I noticed that the update function in J'Tools 2.0 doesn't work. Is this
normal behavior since we moved to version 3? I pressed j-tools control
shift u to update and J-ools says that there is not update available at this

time.

Finally, in your previous message you indicated that it is not possible to
import text notes and bookmarks from version 2 to version 3. Is it possible
to import them from version 3 installed on one computer to version 3
installed on another computer? If so, what is the procedure?

Thanks.

This could well be a limitation of the installer, I'll get back to you
on this.

Subject: [j-tools] V3 install with JFW 11

Hi:
I am running windows xp with both JFW 10 and JFW 11 on this 32 bit
machine. J-tools v2 is working nicely with JFW 10.
With JFW 11 running, I tried to install j-tools v3 for use with JFW 11
and received an error message saying that the program was already
running and that I should delete it before continuing.
I would like to use j-tools with both versions of JAWS. Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Scott
