Perfect observation Mark. To be honest for perfect results I'd go for a Core 2 Duo if you can. Terry Clasper. The P4HT will run the current applications well (go with the fastest HT processor if you go this route), and offers a lower cost. The Pentium D motherboard may support 4 MB of onboard cache, vs. 2 MB on the HT motherboard. Go with at least 2 GB of RAM. -ed. ________________________________ From: j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:j-say-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mark Cox Sent: Wednesday, February 07, 2007 4:41 AM To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [j-say list] Re: Train E-Mail issue Thanks for your input Terry. I've followed the system configuration to the letter so I guess it is a case of fitting the correct processor.... Still I will double check all the settings. If I do decide to change the processor I have a choice of fitting either a Pentium 4 (hyper-threading processor) or a Pentium D (dual-core processor). Would you recommend one over the other? ----- Original Message ---- From: Terry Clasper <Terry.Clasper@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: j-say@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, 7 February, 2007 12:25:18 PM Subject: [j-say list] Re: Train E-Mail issue Mark. This problem is almost certainly either a setup or processor related issue. The processor you are using is below the recommended Dragon and J-Say specification and all tests carried out relating to J-Say technology and associated commands are carried out using the recommended specifications. The command you refer to is a time sensitive command and we need to make timing assumptions in this regard. So my suggestions would be: 1. Ensure your users system is configured in complete accordance with the manual. 2. Try installing the system on a machine with the correct processor, P4 minimum. I hope this helps. Terry Clasper. I am finding that the majority of the time the Train E-Mail command fails because the computer is not processing the individual commands quick enough. This results in text being pasted into the wrong place or an error message being returned that the command's content is empty because the email address has not been pasted into the Content window in the MyCommands Editor. The specs are as follows-: Intel Celeron 2.66GHz 2GB Ram Windows XP SP2 McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7.1.0 (Set to scan only Default files. Also set to scan only when writing to disk) Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.1 (SP1) Jaws 7.10.500 J-Say Pro 4.03 Is this issue occuring because a Celeron processor is installed or could the issue be related to something else? I have tried restarting the computer and making sure only the necessary applications are running i.e. Word but the issue still occurs. ________________________________ Yahoo!
