Thanks! That was the problem. After installing J-Say, the restart dialog
came up, and it didn't ask for the authorization. I was expecting it to
ask for it after the computer restarted. Instead, it kept repeating the
message. I gave JAWS the authorization disk to chew on and it worked
fine when I restarted. Now I'm finally off to setup my voice profile.

Thanks to everyone for the info.

Hi

It sounds to me like you have not installed the J-Say authorisation. Is
that correct?

Thanks.

Subject: [j-say list] J-Say 5.02 installation

I have installed JAWS 8 build 1177 and DNS professional 9.0 with service
pack 1. When I installed J-Say 5.02 from the CD, JAWS went nuts and
repeatedly says "Unknown function call to repeat message r e p e a t m e
s s a g e."

I repaired JAWS, uninstalled Dragon, and repeated the whole process with
the same result. I think I put the J-Say disk in again after that and it
gave me an option to repair J-Say, but I still have the same problem.

I'm beyond frustrated with this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Reinstalling Dragon is a real chore because I have a full version of 7
and update disks for versions 8 and 9. The second time I used the DNS
service pack downloaded from the T and T Consultancy page instead of
the update feature in Dragon 9.0. I even read the documentation that
came with the J-Say disks. It says to use JAWS build 1163, but the
website and someone on this list said to use 1177.

Thanks!

Kristyn
