Wine is a sort-of exception to this. It is open source, but a lot of the
stuff you'd want to run under it is not (and if it were you'd just
compile it under Linux and run it natively)

You won't be able to use Wine to run Windows closed-source binaries -
that only works on an Intel/AMD Linux platform.
