After a power off, when my wife's Iyonix hung, it would not reboot
giving an error of mapping in the !Boot.Resources.!Scrap.ScrapDirs.
It would not let me delete the offending files because of the
mapping error. From the command line I used *desktop and managed
to get to the desktop in mode 28 and used DiscKnight to check and
then repair the 9 problems it found.
On rebooting it appears to start ok and then gives the error
message "Please insert HardDisc4" and the floppy disc light is on.
This is before the pinboard appears.
I tried one suggestion I found:
*configure FileSystem ADFS *rename ADFS::HardDisc ADFS::HardDisc4
but rename gave the message that it was locked to stop changes
Others will no doubt be along to give further assistance but in the

I wonder if the !Boot file is corrupted. If so you could regenerate it
but you need access to the hard drive to do this. It's conceivable but
unlikely that the fault changed the file system but check using
*status. This can be done from outside the desktop (ShellCLI).
Important things to note are obviously FileSystem: ADFS and Drive: 4.
