Hi Jim, For outbound relay, this might be just an authentication issue, as the ISP's SMTP server probably doesn't care if a e-mail client app or an SMTP server sends outbound mail. That said, I pay a dreaded ISP 500/mo just so they keep their grubby hands off my Internet connection. But they did reserve the right to change the agreement at any time. You're right I will contact SBC and ask them about any changes. I have been doing this for quite some time relaying mail off pacbell's mail service All that was required was a pacbell ip address. -----Original Message----- From: John Tolmachoff (Lists) [mailto:johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 5:07 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: port forwarding or port redirection http://www.ISAserver.org If you have residential service, you have no right and should not expect to be able to operate a server on that connection. In fact, you are most likely breaking the service agreement that you have with them.
