Hi John,

 

Ok I hear you about the residential part but when I signed up for the
service it was ok to host your own mail server but the isp said they could
not offer any support for it. But they did reserve the right to change the
agreement at any time. You're right I will contact SBC and ask them about
any changes. I have been doing this for quite some time relaying mail off
pacbell's mail service All that was required was a pacbell ip address.

If you have residential service, you have no right and should not expect to
be able to operate a server on that connection.

 

In fact, you are most likely breaking the service agreement that you have
with them.
