You're correct in that this is a business as well as security choice, but I'd 
hope that they didn't just give any customer anything they asked for...

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm merely pointing out that the pipe is 
there for their customers to use and that's where you have to walk the line.
Assuming its separate from their own internal network. At least, for their own 
sanity, I would hope they keep their own internal network as far away as 
possible from their network for the rooms.
