> I think Yahoo just doesn't have a MIME type and no amount of looking for one > will find one. OK, I take it back. I used Network Monitor to capture browsing Yahoo and it definitely appears that Yahoo is responding to a HTTP GET request with "Content-Type = text/html". If ISA doesn't like it it just responds to Yahoo with a TCP packet with the "Reset Connection" flag set. There's a lot going on there, though, and sometimes it appears that Yahoo responds to a GET with no Content-Type set, so maybe my first statement was right some of the time. There's another problem too.... how do you get rid of Content Types that you've defined in the properties of a site and content rule? There doesn't appear to be any straight-forward way. And another thing.... apparently ISA adds an undocumented header field to HTTP GET requests it sends that has a fieldname of "Via" and a value of "1.1 COMPUTERNAME", where COMPUTERNAME is the NetBIOS name of the computer upon which ISA is installed. This has nothing to do with allowing Yahoo MIME types, but it is sort of alarming nonetheless. All and all I'd rather my firewall wasn't giving out extra information like that. -John. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Watson" <jwatson@xxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 22, 2001 11:43 Subject: [isalist] Re: cant anyone look at this? > http://www.ISAserver.org > > > Well.... > > I think Yahoo just doesn't have a MIME type and no amount of looking for one > will find one. > > However, you might try this: > > - Create a destination set with *.yahoo.com specified, call it Yahoo > - Change your primary site and content rule to except the Yahoo destination > set.
