Tom,
As long as the HTTP Security Filter runs first, and XCompress for IIS second
there shouldn't be an issue. In other words, the issues you are taking
about are when the web server does the compression. Just a note here that
between the ISA server and the web server (OWA Server) the communication is
NOT compressed. It is just the communication between the client and the ISA
server.

Hi Wayne,
Does this solve the OWA publishing issue with ISA 2004 and FBA? That is to
say, can we enable compression on the published OWA site and still use the
ISA FBA feature? What is the effect on exposing the communications to the
HTTP Security filter when the data is compressed?
From my understanding, compressing the data making it inaccessible to the
security filters.

Did not think of either of those 2 scenerios. Too much going on right
now.
