Agreed; and a grand shame it is, too.

At least the ISA team was able to identify a functional workaround for the 
non-plugin-bound ISA users in short order.

The Web Trends and Surf Control folks at least produced a "can't do it" 
response fairly quickly as well.

Basically, any plug-in that requires you to set "Require all users to 
authenticate" is going to cause much hate & discontent with WU v5.

While Microsoft Windows Update team is at the heart of this problem, and
ultimately they must fix it, I am extremely disappointed at Burstek Web
Filter for not helping to provide a work around for this issue as of yet.

The client I have that is using them has 69 days left on their license. At
the rate things are going, I will not be renewing it, and I will start
evaluating other vendors.
