Agreed; and a grand shame it is, too. At least the ISA team was able to identify a functional workaround for the non-plugin-bound ISA users in short order. The Web Trends and Surf Control folks at least produced a "can't do it" response fairly quickly as well. Basically, any plug-in that requires you to set "Require all users to authenticate" is going to cause much hate & discontent with WU v5. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: John Tolmachoff (Lists) [mailto:johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, December 24, 2004 10:06 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Cc: support@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] RE: Windows Update and XP SP2 http://www.ISAserver.org While Microsoft Windows Update team is at the heart of this problem, and ultimately they must fix it, I am extremely disappointed at Burstek Web Filter for not helping to provide a work around for this issue as of yet. The client I have that is using them has 69 days left on their license. At the rate things are going, I will not be renewing it, and I will start evaluating other vendors.
