What is the use of having isa >server as part of the active directory. There are know proven issues with Windows 98, (which was not designed for a business network environment,) on a Active Directory domain. They have a tendency to lose connections, mapped drives, printers installed on servers and such after time. A reboot of the workstation clears the problem. It seems that WINS helps a little, but not much. Are they part of a domain? If yes, what are the domain controllers, Windows 2000 servers or WINNT 4.0 servers? The computer on which ISA is installed must be a member of an AD domain before installing for ISA to be intergrated into the AD schema. That allows control based on the AD schema, such as groups and users. John Tolmachoff IT Manager, Network Engineer RelianceSoft, Inc.
