Published FTP site doesnt allow "LS" command

Ok...what gives
We have published a dozen or so FTP sites from an internal IIS box through
the ISA server. Until yesterday they were all working fine.
Now two of them allow users to log on, however no longer allow the LS
command to work. Upon executing LS after logging in freezes up the FTP
session and eventually it times out.
Anyone seen anything like this?
