Do you required outbound http/https authentication? I created a protocol
rule to allow my OWA server http/https access based on IP address? Just a
thought.

OK, Ive tried everything and I still cant get OWA to work externally. Internally no problems, externally all I get is the logon screen. When I input the username and password, it waits a while (up to 5 minutes) then I usually get a TCP/IP Processing error or various other errors.
BTW Exchange RPC works out of the box (but is slow for the connections we have)
My setup is as follows: dial up connection with static IP address
local domain (active directory) : companyname.local dns (forward/reverse) : companyname.local
action: exchangname.companyname.com (Ive tried .com and .local and the IP address)
destination sets exchangename.companyname.com /exchange/* /public/* /exchweb/*
incoming listner: configure listners seperate : external IP address basic authorisation
IIS configuration /exchange/,/public/,/exchweb/ basic authorisation default domain (Ive left it blank, Ive also tried with both .com and .local domains here)
Regards very frustrated IT Manager/System admin/PC support yada yada yada
