I completely forgot about that, I have a DVI connector on my own computer... My dual-head NVidia uses a single DVI connector for both monitor outputs... So, I did a bit of Googling for "DVI pinouts", and found there are several variations of the connectors. This might be a more complex issue... -----Original Message----- From: Thor (Hammer of God) [mailto:thor@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, October 07, 2005 9:32 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: OT: DVI signaling http://www.ISAserver.org DVI should work just fine (as long as it's a DVI monitor.) It should even do an autoswitch with the VGA adapter for you (with the little adapter.) I've got dual, dual head video cards-- my NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400 (which was about $1200 too much for what I use it for) has dual DVI outputs-- one going to my Sonly DSM-SH74P flat screen (DVI-D) and the other going with the VGA adapter on it going to another Sonly flat screen... No issues at all, perfect picture. The only issue I ran into was with my other GEForce MX 420 (for my other 2 monitors) and getting the settings just right for my Maxent 29" plasma screen-- it was a funky 1366x768 deal, but that's VGA. DVI should not be giving you any issues... What is the video card and monitor type? t ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thomas W Shinder" <tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2005 7:46 PM Subject: [isalist] OT: DVI signaling http://www.ISAserver.org Hey folks, Anyone have much experience with Monitors with DVI connections? I put my first one together the other day, and it was a nightmare getting the colors right. Didn't know if I got a whack monitor, or if its something about DVI. I'm going to try it again tomorrow and wondered if my last experience was a one-off, or if DVI connections need more babysitting.
